FRI at the Africapitalism Conference hosted by The New Institute

Hamburg, June 6, 2025 — Between June 4 and 6, our colleagues Elizabeth Maloba and Ștefan Cibian attended the Africapitalism Conference, organizată de Prof. Kenneth Amaeshi and The New Institute in Hamburg, Germany.

The conference convened thought leaders, multilateral organizations, academic institutions, NGOs, and private-sector stakeholders to explore innovative and sustainable strategies for inclusive economic development in Africa.

The conference focused on Africapitalism—an economic philosophy that aligns private-sector growth with social equity. Key topics include poverty reduction, tackling inequality, and advancing community-based entrepreneurship, responsible governance, and impact-driven finance.
