Mihai Pătru started his professional career as a diplomat with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. He was awarded the Transatlantic Diplomatic Fellowship by the U.S. State Department and in 2014 joined the Center for Transatlantic Relations, Johns Hopkins University, in Washington DC. Currently he serves as Executive Director at Caravanserai Project and Senior Policy Fellow at University of California in Riverside, his main interests focusing on social entrepreneurship and social impact in grassroots underserved communities. In 2018, he joined Mozaïque, a social business developing tools to provide artisans and handworkers in remote communities around the world access to markets and financial predictability. He earned his Master’s in International Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University/School of Advanced International Studies and holds a MA in International Relations from Central European University in Budapest and a BA in Arabic Language and Literature from University of Bucharest.
