Elena Gabor, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Organizational Communication at Bradley University, in Peoria, IL. She researches and teaches on organizational culture, socialization, meaning of work, and communication in the context of wildland firefighting, nurses, classical musicians and immigrant professionals. Her work has appeared in Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management, Journal of Ethnographic and Qualitative Research, Intercultural Communication Studies, and International Journal of Wildland Fire. She co-edited Immigrants and Meanings of Work: Communicating Life and Career Transitions published in 2016 by Peter Lang.
