Bhakti Shringarpure Ph.D.
Bhakti Shringarpure, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of English at the University of Connecticut and editor-in-chief of Warscapes magazine. She is the author of Cold War Assemblages: Decolonization to Digital (2019) published by Routledge Studies in Cultures of the Global Cold War. She is the co-translator of Kaveena, a novel by Senegalese writer Boubacar Boris Diop (Indiana University Press, 2016). She has extensive experience editing fiction and poetry and her works include Literary Sudans: An Anthology of Literature from Sudan and South Sudan (Africa World Press, 2016), Imagine Africa, Volume 3 (Archipelago Press, 2017) and Mediterranean: Migrant Crossings. She is the editor of a forthcoming book series titled Decolonize That! Handbooks for the Revolutionary Overthrow of Embedded Colonial Ideas which will be published jointly by OR Books and Warscapes. Also forthcoming is a co-edited anthology called Insurgent Feminisms: Women Write War with Mantle Books and a co-written book titled Imagining Imperial Formations: India’s Culture Industries with Rowman and Littlefield.
