Saint Peter’s Basilica stands as one of the most prominent symbols of Christianity. This course offers a comprehensive exploration of the significance, splendor, and enduring legacy of Saint Peter’s Basilica, situated at the heart of Vatican City.

Participants will learn about the rich Christian heritage and the architectural innovation brought by this edifice. The course will not only focus on what Saint Peter’s Basilica means for Christians but also on its contemporary relevance as one of the most recognizable architectural structures in the world.

Based on an interdisciplinary curriculum, gathering information from architectural history, cultural and social history and arts, this course offers a comprehensive exploration of the significance, splendor and enduring legacy of Saint Peter’s Basilica.
