The digital revolution and artificial intelligence transform in significant ways national economies and the global economy. Although Romania managed to build a dynamic ICT sector of the economy, the transformations brought by new technologies are more far-reaching, affecting all sectors of the economy. Faced with such changes, local communities have the opportunity and the need to rethink the education they offer to current and future generations.

In order to think and implement an ICT education that is connected to the individual and collective needs generated by digitalization and automatization, as well as to the rapid-changing realities of the labor markets in sectors affected by digitalization and artificial intelligence, we aim to bring together schools, the Făgăraș Municipality, NGOs, IT companies, researchers, students, practitioners and other relevant partners in order to re-think ICT education in Făgăraș. We hope that together we can analyze, test and re-think the formal and non-formal ICT education in the region at all levels from kindergarten to post-secondary programs.
