Our colleagues Lutz Drieling and Ștefan Cibian attended the “Infrastructures for the Future” international conference, together with more than 90 participants from Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Oceania – leaders of community foundations, civic initiatives and partners in philanthropy and development.
The conference was the result of a 6-month collaborative process and explored three key directions for the future of communities:
- Infrastructure – how we can sustain and strengthen community initiatives;
- Futures – how do we prepare communities for tomorrow’s challenges;
- Ecosystems – how we connect globally to build a shared movement with vision and meaning.
FRI contributed to developing the section of the conference focused on local community resilience and the role of community foundations.
