GDL@Făgăraș Lab – Kick-off meeting – a project that explores the role of local communities in diplomacy, global security, and in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals

The kick-off meeting of the Global Diplomacy Lab @ Făgăraș will take place on the 15th of December 2021. It is meant to provide the opportunity for the participating members to meet and connect with the challenge holders and engage in a first discussion about the challenges.

The GLD Lab in Făgăraș is going to open a space for reflection and co-creation on the relevance of small urban and rural communities in global leadership, in strengthening the partnerships for the SDGs, and in addressing emerging security challenges.

The Lab will bring together 30 to 40 participants – GDL members, staff, and partners alongside representatives of the local challenge holders and the hosting team. The activities of the Lab will take place in Făgăraș, Sibiu, and other local communities in the region.

The project is realized by FRI together with the Global Diplomacy Lab,  a members driven network for Diplomacy 4.0, which is implemented by the iac Berlin and supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, BMW Foundation Herbert-Quandt, Global Leadership Academy of GIZ, Robert Bosch Stiftung, Stiftung Mercator and the German-American Fulbright Commission.
