This course will give an overview of Artificial Grammar, one of the techniques used to study the cognitive aspect of language learning as well as my own experience as a Research Assistant in an Artificial Grammar Ph.D. project. I will also focus on new language learning models that are being designed to illustrate the complexity of human learning behaviour, such as the statistical learning model.

Ana Celmare
Ana Celmare is a BA student, who will be graduating this summer from University College Utrecht, Netherlands with a degree in Linguistics and Cognitive Neuroscience. My areas of interest are language learning and development, language contact within and between social groups, and how the brain is shaped by this linguistic contact.
