Thus, understanding methodology is essential to scientific research and plays a critical role in ensuring that research is conducted in a rigorous, reliable, and valid manner. The course is designed to provide a foundational understanding of the social science methodology, equipping students with the minimal tools and insights required for conducting research. The course explores differences between scientific knowledge and common knowledge, understanding the logic and objectives of scientific knowledge, quantitative and qualitative methods, and validity and reliability in research. The course is dedicated to undergraduate and graduate students in social sciences, early career researchers, and professionals interested in conducting social research.
