BuchaREST

Among the luminous trails of traffic on Boulevard Lascar Catargiu and the neon lights of downtown shops, there is a Bucharest that rests.

A Bucharest of the past, chained to the present and drawn into it.

It rests, broken and silent. Under a sky that speaks only of death.

It rests in an abandoned, forgotten car. A useless tool of mobility, now motionless.

It rests among the rubble. A shattered city, destroyed by those who promised independence and prosperity.

Bucharest rests, but it does not die. Vital sap still flows, proving that its survival instinct prevails over everything. The past moves within the present.

Bucharest is ivy on the walls, still in its slow climb.

BuchaRESTs. But soon it will be morning, and it will awaken.
