Between June 12–15, Bucharest will host the TEFF Alumni Event 2025, bringing together former participants of the Türkiye Europe Future Forum (TEFF), alongside leaders, experts, and decision-makers from across Europe and the Republic of Türkiye.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Stiftung Mercator – Istanbul Office, with alumni Alexandra Solea, Iulia-Alexandra Oprea, and Ștefan Cibian as part of the organizing team.
The program includes interactive sessions and panel discussions on timely topics such as EU enlargement, energy policy, climate justice, refugee integration, local governance, and Turkish-Romanian relations in the context of global transformations. The official opening took place on Thursday, June 12, with a welcome reception followed by a panel on Romania’s contemporary history, featuring Daniela Popescu and Radu Nicola Delicote.
A highlight of the event will be the conversation with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Romania, held on Friday, June 13, at Impact Hub Bucharest. The session will be followed by a debate on the Black Sea region, featuring experts Alexandra Bocșe, Marius Ghincea, and Ștefan Cibian.
An official visit to the Palace of the Parliament and various thematic sessions will offer participants valuable opportunities to exchange ideas and strengthen professional networks between Europe and the Republic of Türkiye, with a focus on transnational cooperation.

The Türkiye Europe Future Forum (TEFF) program brings together young leaders from the Republic of Türkiye, the EU, and other European countries to engage in discussions on current global challenges. Launched in 2015 by Stiftung Mercator and coordinated by the Mercator IPC (Istanbul Policy Center), the program aims to build a lasting network of civically engaged professionals who strengthen Türkiye-Europe relations through collaboration and mutual understanding.
